A little more about me:

Hi and welcome!
My name is Laura Miller and I am an RYT certified yoga teacher, specialising in both Vinyasa and Yin Yoga.
As well as teaching yoga, I have been an international circus artist for over 20 years.
As an athlete, I knew a lot about the body - it's capabilities, strengths and weaknesses and how to train efficiently - but I didn't know as much about the mind.
Performing internationally is a high pressue job, particularly as an aerial artist and there were times, like many of us, when I became run down and couldn't give my best. I never really took any time for myself to relax and I was often running on autopilot.
I originally started practicing yoga as a way to keep in shape, to stretch my body and in doing so, complement my aerial performance - but then something magical happened!
After just a few days, I noticed a difference in the way I was feeling. Yoga not only felt good in my body but it also calmed my mind.
I fell in love with yoga so much that I decided to take my teacher training so that I could share that experience with others.
I truly believe that yoga can have the most amazing impact on our well-being and that self care is fundamental to a healthy life.
At the age of 32, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I realised then that life can change in an instant. It's so important to take care of ourselves and equally important to enjoy the life that we have.
Of course work and family commitments are a huge part of who we are but we truly need to just slow down and look around from time to time - and yoga retreats are a wonderful way to do that.
Taking a couple of days away to reconnect with yourself, to just be for a little while, can really help you to relax, recharge and take that renewed energy back with you when you return home.
That's my wish for you and why I created Yoga High Retreats.
